You are by sea! Eat fish! Live longer! Then have some paella!
Set in a picturesque square, with fair prices and good, fresh food, its no wonder the locals like to eat here. Seems like they even have apartments to rent, so you never are far from a glass of wine or some tapas.

Behind the cathedral, off on a side street is a traditional tapas bar that knows exactly what it is doing. Pleasant servers, mix of locals and tourists in the know. No phone, no wifi, just home made vermut & excellent meatballs to make you happy.

Paella along the beach: Valencians take their rice seriously.
Classic Valencian paella is made with rabbit and chicken. But, if you crave rice and seafood, then head to the beach. There are a zillion beach side restaurants that turn out good seafood paella. Either look for the most crowded one or hit up the local guides. Can’t recommend the place we ate at, mostly because the service was god awful, so you’re on your own.
